About The Yardbird Landscape Supply
Located at 3386 NC-65, Germanton, NC 27019, The Yardbird Landscape Supply operates as a greenhouse serving Germanton in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In Germanton, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in North Carolina, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 7:30 am–5:30 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach The Yardbird Landscape Supply at (336) 536-1039; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

I went in as a local to look around. There was no inventory of any plant's or landscaping supplies. There were a couple of booths that looked like rented space. There's a nice center focal display that included some highly priced tropical plant's. That's about it.

We got 10 scoops of hardwood delivered to us for $450 plus tax which included delivery. It is a decent price and ended up being a full cord. It did come with a very large scoop of dirt which was a bit upsetting but I called yardbird and they apologized and made it right which definitely made me feel much better. On the plus side (even though I have an extra project) I have some decent compost for the garden. Very friendly people willing to go above and beyond!
